SoftRide Road Rocket

Should you drift it

Saddle wear and scuffing on leather Light cosmetic scuffs on crank arms Vintage SoftRide frames built up as track/fixed-gear bikes command niche collector appeal in NYC, typically fetching around $1,000 for frame and build. High-end components like the White Industries ENO eccentric hub, H Plus Son rims, and Sugino crankset boost the overall build value to $1,350. Minor saddle wear is evident, making the $1,750 asking price steep. Stock SoftRide framesets and base road builds typically sell between $450 and $850 nationally, but custom fixed-gear track conversions command a niche premium in the NYC market. Reconciling those baseline stock frame prices against the earlier reasoning, the high-end upgraded wheelset and Sugino drivetrain components justify maintaining the $1,350 fair market value estimate. The frame and parts display only light cosmetic wear, leaving the $1,750 asking price well above reasonable resale value.
