Tear on saddle cover Frame cosmetic scuffs and marks Needs general tune-up/alignment after storage A full Shimano Dura-Ace 7700 9-speed group on a US-built OCLV carbon Trek 5500 USPS frame usually commands around $700 in the NYC resale market. Factoring in $100 in deductions for frame scuffs, a torn saddle, and a basic safety tune-up after sitting in storage brings fair value to $650. At $750, the asking price is reasonable given the desirable USPS livery and Dura-Ace hubs on Mavic rims. Stock 2000 Trek 5500 USPS models with Shimano Dura-Ace 7700 9-speed builds sell between $600 and $800 nationally. Applying an NYC regional premium offsets condition deductions for frame scuffs, saddle wear, and tune-up needs, fully validating the $650 valuation.

"Trek 5500 OCLV- USPS Postal Dura Ace Carbon 56 CM Road Bike $750 Listed about an hour ago in Bayside, NY Trek 5500 with USPS postal edition. (Lance Armstrong Tour de France winner) VERY FAST, VERY LIGHT. Fully carbon frame/fork made at the Trek factory in Waterloo, USA. 9 speed Shimano Dura Ace group-set. I’m not a pro biker and hit 45mph on it. (Decline) Fairly new chain, cassette, brakes, and tires. Upgrades include dura ace hubs and Mavic wheels. Bike has signs of age some marks and scuffs etc. I did not shine it up for photos. What you see is what you get. Small tear on seat. Please do your research on what this bike is if you aren’t familiar with them. Functions as it should. You can do an alignment/tune up if you feel it’s needed. Bike has been sitting for some time.
