Should you drift it
minor cosmetic scratches dropout paint wear The Wabi Special frameset retails new for $695. Given the near-new overall condition with minor cosmetic scratches and typical axle track marks on the dropouts, a market value of $500 is realistic in NYC. The asking price of $489 represents a fair deal for a premium steel fixed-gear frame. National comps show pre-owned Wabi Special framesets trading between $500 and $550, while lightly used complete builds go for $750 to $800. Factoring in a slight local NYC urban cycling premium, a baseline used valuation for this near-new frameset lands right at $520. The evaluation holds cleanly against the prior baseline analysis since no frame defects or costly component wear are detected.
