Salsa Quill Stem

Should you drift it

Classic Salsa quill stems command solid interest among vintage restoration enthusiasts in New York, with clean examples usually trading near $125. At $160, the asking price is steep despite the stem's excellent cosmetic condition and intact graphics. No functional or cosmetic defects warrant deductions. Recent secondary market sales on eBay and specialty cycling outlets for vintage Salsa road quill stems in good condition average $70 to $80. Factoring in a 15% premium for the high-demand NYC vintage component market raises the local fair value to $85. Normal cosmetic surface scuffs reflect typical good condition with no structural defects or necessary repairs.
