Description
Retail on a new Bontrager BackRack MIK runs $55 plus city tax, so a $30 fair market baseline for used condition is solid math. At a $20 asking price in Astoria with no visible missing hardware, you are securing a $10 discount below realistic secondhand value. My numbers show this is a clean 33 percent margin under local equilibrium. Retail MSRP sits at $52.99 new while national used comps hover around $25, but an active NYC Facebook Marketplace listing in good condition is explicitly listed at $30. I am adding that $5 local markup because try hauling groceries across town without proper MIK rack mounts and tell me your nerves can handle it. "Durable black aluminum Bontrager rear bicycle rack. This rack has MIK cargo system compatibility. It includes integrated mounting points for attaching to a bicycle frame."
