Standard 1980s Japanese steel Fuji 12-speed road bikes typically fetch around 250 dollars in the NYC used bicycle market. While this frame is remarkably clean and stored indoors with newer tires, the basic stem-shifter spec does not support a premium price tag. The 600 dollar asking price significantly exceeds fair market value. Recent NYC local listings on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace show mid-range Fuji road bikes in good condition selling between $150 and $450. A 15 percent NYC regional premium raises fair market value to $300 for a clean bike requiring no component repairs or tune-up.

"Vintage Fuji Road Bike $600 Listed 2 days ago in New York, NY Circa 1980’s vintage Fuji (Japan) road bike. Very clean, low mileage frame. Stored inside its whole life. Tires are also low mileage and about 1.5 years old. I added suicide breaks and handle bar tape. Otherwise bike is nearly original. I love this bike. I’m only selling because the frame is a bit too large for me. Open to trades XL frame. New York, NY · Location is approximate"
