missing crown race removal marks on cups Vintage 1-inch no-logo Chris King headsets carry strong retro builder appeal, establishing a baseline market value near $155. Deductions of $15 for the missing crown race and $10 for minor cup removal scuffs adjust fair value down to $130. Offered at $135, this item represents a fair price for a desirable period component. National secondary market sales for used 1 inch Chris King NoThreadSet headsets in good condition average $120. An upward adjustment to $140 reflects strong NYC demand for vintage 1 inch threadless track and road components.

"Selling a 90's Chris King threadless headset. It is silver, no logos on the cups circa mid '90's. One inch threadless. Bearings are in great shape, there are some marks from removal but they should not be noticeable when the headset is installed. Baseplate (aka crown race) is not included but can be purchased from Chris King. Would be a great fit for a period correct vintage mountain bike build or upgrade for a road bike."
