Cosmetic paint chips and scratches on frame Entry-level vintage Japanese steel road bikes typically sell for $200 to $250 in the NYC market even with fresh wear items installed. The $500 asking price is significantly above market value for a Fuji Sports 10 model. Visible paint chips on the frame further limit any potential vintage premium. Recent NYC Craigslist listings for vintage Fuji road bikes range from $250 in Flatbush to $400 in Greenpoint, reflecting a strong urban commuter markup over $100 to $120 national averages. The bicycle displays standard light cosmetic wear for its age without structural frame damage or required component repairs.
