Vintage Specialized aluminum frames in clean condition command around $150 in the NYC urban commuter build market. Includes original rigid fork and headset. The reduced $180 asking price is reasonably close to fair market value for a bare retro frame build candidate. Nationwide sales for vintage 1997 Specialized Hardrock aluminum framesets range from $120 to $160 on eBay, while localized NYC commuter demand justifies an upward adjustment to $150. This aligns with the baseline assessment for a clean bare frame including the original rigid fork and headset.
