Should you drift it
Generic 45-inch combination chain locks typically sell brand new for around $20. An asking price of $25 for a pre-owned unbranded lock exceeds local fair market value. The lock functions as intended with no structural damage, though the price remains above market expectation. Comparable generic combination chain locks retail around $15 to $20 new, while similar secondhand listings on NYC Craigslist sell between $10 and $14. Applying a slight NYC commuter market adjustment for a like-new unit with no wear or defects establishes a fair value of $14.
