Scratched and chipped paint work General frame cosmetic wear A baseline value of $450 reflects an entry level Jamis Renegade equipped with Shimano Sora/Claris components and a carbon fork in the NYC market. Deductions of $50 account for heavy paint chips and cosmetic wear on the frame. Upgrades such as Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires and a Topeak rear rack add $25 back, resulting in an estimated fair market value of $425. Stock 2018 Claris-equipped Jamis Renegade models generally trade between $350 and $400 in secondary markets, though NYC listings typically reflect an upward premium near $450 for complete gravel setups. Frame scuffs warrant a mild deduction that is directly balanced by the added utility of the Schwalbe tires and Topeak rear rack, holding the final valuation at $425.
