Gear tune-up ($40) A vintage Miyata One Twelve road bike in ready-to-ride condition generally commands about $265 in the NYC secondhand market. Subtracting $40 for the required gear tune-up noted in the description adjusts the fair value to $225. At an asking price of $300, this listing sits above standard market value. National sales for mid-1980s Miyata One Twelve road bikes average $180 to $220 in good condition. A 30 percent NYC commuter market premium elevates local fair value to $285 for a clean frame with no visible defects or required maintenance.
