heavy tread wear limited remaining lifespan A new pair of Specialized Armadillo tires retails for around $100. Given that these tires are heavily worn with only a couple months of tread life remaining, a $75 deduction for wear brings fair value down to $25. At $50, this pair is overpriced for used tires near the end of their usable life. Pre-owned Specialized All Condition Armadillo road tires sell nationally between $15 and $20 on secondary platforms compared to a $50 retail price. A modest premium is added to reflect high NYC commuter demand for puncture-resistant road gear.
